(William Shimmel Jr. who prefers to be called "Schim") is the son of famed water colorist William Sr. Like his father, Schimmel spent many years teaching art. Due to the popularity of his work, he now works on his art full time. Schimmel's is also a gifted musician who has played professionally in bands in his home state of Arizona. His father's artistic background focused primarily on landscapes. As a result, William now primarily uses nature scenes for his symbolic subject matter. His art is sought after and collected domestically and in international markets.
